What to Do on Canada Day

What to do on Canada Day

It’s Canada Day this weekend! Embrace your national pride and celebrate this wonderful, diverse country by exploring the many things it has to offer. Here are some ways to make the most of Canada’s 151st birthday.

Show your colours

Show your colours and sport Canada’s red and white with a t-shirt or, better yet, with socks! We suggest pulling on a pair of our Canadian Solidarity socks. Decorated with green, red, and white maple leaves, these socks will surely stand out!

Spend the day outdoors

Canada is known for its beautiful outdoors. Take advantage of the beautiful summer weather and spend the day outside. Organize a family picnic, take a serene hike through the forest, or spend the night camping under the stars.

Visit landmarks

Be a tourist for a day and visit some of Canada’s famous landmarks. If you’re in Toronto, pull on a pair of Toronto socks to mark the occasion. Then get ready to brave the heights at the CN Tower, or stare in awe (while eating fudge) at Niagara Falls!

Eat Canadian food

Take the opportunity to indulge in some classic Canadian cuisine. Feast on maple syrup-covered pancakes for breakfast, Nutella Beavertails for lunch, and end the day with a savoury poutine for dinner.

Watch the fireworks

End the day with a bang by heading out to see the fireworks. Find a good spot with a clear view, set up a blanket and snacks, and enjoy the thunderous light display marking the end of a day full of celebrations.
